Maintain You Patience with Youth Hunters

You know in the hunting world you have to be able to be patient. I’m sure a lot of you have hunted with youth hunters and know the importance of being patient; you might get frustrated because you can’t seem to find that buck you have been looking for, of you might get mad when you do find it and your young hunter misses that shot. I bring this up because in the hunting and fishing world you would drive yourself nuts if you didn’t have patience.

In the off season I coach Little League Baseball, My son’s major’s team. We played a double header and lost both games, my boy made two critical errors that cost us 5 runs between the two games, Did that make us loose the Games, I don’t think so but it really slowed the momentum that our team had going. I have to admit I was pretty hard on him for those errors, and I know getting onto him didn’t help him play any better, I’m pretty sure it made him think too much Needless to say our boys didn’t give up and played hard throughout the 4th inning. The games have a 2 hour time limit.

This brings me to my point. Being patient in all aspects of life is very important, whether it be in hunting, fishing, or even a little league baseball game. Tell them the mistake they made so they can learn from it and encourage them to keep trying. Being patient with new hunters and keeping it fun is the most important.

Trophy Mule Deer

The Desert mule deer season in southern AZ has been great , We have acquired a new ranch that is loaded with trophy class animals. On average we are seeing 15 to 20 bucks per day some of which are in the 180 class and better. If you are interested in hunting this new ranch in 2012 contact us ASAP because we are only going to harvest five Mule Deer bucks per year. The ranch also holds large numbers of Coues Deer and we will only be harvesting six bucks per year.

Arizona Coues Deer Success

Ward’s Outfitters just finished up the first season of Coues deer hunting and our clients harvested some great bucks. We are hunting over 20 sections of private land that produce Coues deer and Mule deer. We hunted three days and glassed up over 35 different bucks. If you have ever considered hunting Coues deer and want to stay in the states this is the hunt for you. Avoid all the crowds on public ground and hunt with Ward’s Outfitters.

Arizona Wild Fires

Arizona is under siege by the ever growing wild fires. Please don’t be alarmed the areas we hunt have not been affected by these fires. The horse shoe 2 fire is burning in the chricahua mountains but has not burned the lands we will be hunting. As a matter of fact it has pushed more animals into the areas we will be hunting in January.

Arizona Is in extreme drought at this time and the wild fires are devastating areas in the south and northern portions of the state. Please don’t be concerned if you have a hunt booked with us .The areas we hunt are not at this time being affected by these wild fires.

Arizona Gould’s Turkey Hunt.

We would like to congratulate Tim From Michigan on his first successful Gould’s turkey hunt. We called this 26# tom into only 25 yards on the first morning of his hunt. The bird has a 10.5″ beard and 1″ spurs . Again Congrats to you Tim, we had a great time
